Lough Sillan, Annafarney - 7 June 2009
Match report Whether it was the previous day's torrential rain that scattered the fish in Lough Sillan, or some other factor, we'll never know. But it was a stop-start day for each of the seven anglers who turned up for the last match of the Spring League. Fishing into up to 6 metres of water meant that encouraging the resident hybrids and roach to feed solidly was a challenge, but Ferri fished the feeder at 40 yards with a 6 foot tail and double maggot to best effect for 4.440kg of hard fighting hybrids and perch. Elsewhere, a solid hybrid or two plus a few small perch and some skimmers were the order of the day, almost all taken on feeder tactics.
