River Barrow, Carlow Town- 9 March 2008

Match report  17 anglers  turned up to fish the fourth match of the Spring League on the River Barrow in Carlow Town. Stick floats, wagglers, sliders and poles of all lengths were all employed in an attempt to target the resident roach and dace but Bob Hulme came out on top with a bag of mostly roach caught on an 0.8 gram pole float fished over hemp with maggot on the hook. A few blanks and some small bags of fish left many anglers disappointed - but not every fishery is a well-stocked commercial!
